SLO Food Bank
Coalition of San Luis Obispo County
Become an Agency
The Food Bank Coalition welcomes non-profit agencies as partners. To find out more right away, call our Executive Director, Carl Hansen, at 805-238-4664.
You'll find detailed requirements on our agency application form. Generally speaking, the Food Bank simply asks non-profit partners to perform tasks you're probably already doing, such as keeping records. We'll also ask you to distribute food received from us only to low-income SLO County residents and free of charge.
There are many benefits to being a non-profit agency partner of the Food Bank. Along with the core benefit of receiving no-cost and low-cost food for your clients, you can help us spread the word about hunger in our communities through campaigns like Hunger Awareness Day. And agencies can receive food credit for volunteering to help the Food Bank staff barrels during food drives and assisting with other programs.
We've gathered some forms you'll need to get started as a Food Bank partner agency. Click for an application and an agreement form. You can save, print and mail the forms to us. Or email the forms to chansen@slofoodbank.org, then make time to come in, meet with Carl Hansen, and sign up.
Let's fight hunger in San Luis Obispo County together. When we partner with each other, we can face our mutual challenges with more strength and optimism than if we try to go it alone. And we can have fun supporting each other too.
