Food Bank Challenge: Give one dollar on one day - Hunger Awareness
Day, June 5 - to feed the hungry in San Luis Obispo County.
We can raise enough money, one dollar at a time in just one day, to
feed 25,000 people. But, everyone has to give.
With the Food Bank's buying power, one dollar feeds a child for a
week or a family for a day.
Join The Tribune, KSBY, Call America, Farm Bureau, Home Builders
Association Cal Poly students, county schools, and hundreds of
others who have already signed on to support Hunger Awareness Day,
Tuesday, June 5. We need your help because every dollar counts in
this one-day challenge to stamp out hunger in San Luis Obispo
County.

The San Luis Obispo County Young Farmers and
Ranchers committee brought six committee members to
the SLO Downtown Farmers’ market, Thursday, 5/31, in
effort to raise funds for the Food Bank. Preliminary
counts are in and dollar by dollar the YF&R were
able to amass almost $1,400 in donations. This cash
will be combined with other donations made by Farm
Bureau members to surpass the $2,100 goal set by the
Farm Bureau earlier this month.
