The Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County is still working to meet their Hunger Awareness Day goal of raising $135,000. You can help us reach this goal by making a contribution online » or by mailing in a donation to P.O. Box 2070, Paso Robles, CA 93447. All funds collected will go directly into programming that makes nutritious food available to those in need year round.
Today 1 in 6 SLO County residents is food insecure, which means 46,000 people lack consistent access to enough nutritious food for an active healthy life. The Food Bank Coalition is committed to providing nutritious foods through their direct programs and partnership with a county wide network of agencies; distributing 6.2 million pounds of fruits, vegetables, and pantry staples to families and individuals who face hunger.
We can all take steps to address the needs of our food insecure neighbors and work together to support healthy lives. With every dollar donated the Food Bank can provide ten dollars worth of nutritious food to one of our neighbors in need. You can make a significant impact in the overall health of our community by making a contribution today »
