Today 1 in 6 SLO County residents is food insecure, which means 46,000 people lack consistent access to enough nutritious food for an active healthy life. The Food Bank Coalition is committed to providing nutritious foods through their direct programs and partnership with a county wide network of agencies; distributing 5 million pounds of fruits, vegetables, and pantry staples to families and individuals who face hunger.
We can all take steps to address the needs of our food insecure neighbors and work together to support healthy lives. You can make a significant impact in the overall health of our community by making a contribution today.
Our mission is to work with a network of community partners to alleviate hunger in San Luis Obispo County and build a healthier community.
