Group Opportunities
If you're part of a group that wants to pull together to make a difference in the communities where you work, play or pray, volunteer at the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County. You can choose from many ways to get involved, like:
Staffing Food Drive barrels is a perfect activity for Scouts
- Staffing the Food Bank's food drive barrels
- Helping collect dollar bills on Hunger Awareness Day
- Holding your own food drive or donation drive
- Sorting food at the warehouse
- Helping us in the office, or at an event
- Handing out food to those in need at distribution sites

- Scout troops throughout the county, like Girl Scout troop 40710 from Arroyo Grande
- The entire staff of local businesses like Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab
- Media personalities, like Bill & Amy from Coast 101.3
- Church groups, like folks from Mountainbrook Community Church in SLO
- Cal Poly students from fraternities, sororities, service groups and classes
- Employees of nationally-known retailers like Starbuck's
- School kids like those from Atascadero Junior High
- Other non-profit groups in our area, like the San Luis Obispo Symphony
