Please bring your collected donations in your envelope with your name and amount raised.
The great thing about the Hunger Walk is there is no minimum amount for those interested in participating. Children under 18 who raise $25 or more will receive a 2011 Hunger Walk t-shirt; for walkers over 18, t-shirts are available for those who have raised the $100 minimum by September 23, 2011. Those raising the minimum after the 23rd may not receive their shirt on walk day.
Your participation in the Hunger Walk will help the Food Bank Coalition, the Central Coast Clergy & Laity for Justice raise funds and spread awareness of our mission to help thousands of individuals, and their struggling families receive the nutritious food that they could not otherwise afford.
The Walk will be held rain or shine, so remember to dress for the weather! Do not forget to remind your teammates as well.
Go to the List of Events page and you'll see a phone number to call in order to get any details about the site you select.
The easiest and most effective way is to simply ask them for a donation as a sponsor.
Everyone will start at the same time, but walkers will spread out according to their pace. There will be no "stopping of traffic" and all pedestrian laws will be obeyed, such as waiting for stop lights, etc.
Yes, there will be water and light refreshments, but please bring anything that you think you might need to be comfortable.
Please bring your own reusable water bottle or plastic bottle as water will be available.
