An afternoon of fun, food & spirits

Join us at 4:00 on Saturday, September 20th, for Rancho Vino at Rancho Miranda in Santa Maria. Enjoy a beautiful late summer day sipping beer, wine or spirits and tasting delicious food prepared by local chefs while relaxing in the lush garden setting of the ranch. Music along with a live and silent auction will entertain you as you savor this special day.

The Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County is proud to be chosen to share in the proceeds from Rancho Vino along with the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County. The event, presented by the Coast Hills Community Foundation, helps fund our BackPack Program that sends full back packs of food home for the weekend with low-income school children.

Wild Horse Winery Harvest Fest
October 17 - 19

Wild Horse Winery in Templeton celebrates the 2008 harvest and the work of
the Food Bank Coalition during Harvest Fest, October 17th through 19th.
The Wild Horse team will waive tasting fees for the weekend, requesting
you instead make a small donation to the Food Bank.  Join us for great
wine, food and fun!

About Us

The Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County was founded in 1988 and has become the only source of large-quantity donated and low-cost food to thousands of very low-income residents of San Luis Obispo County.

Food donations—from sources such as local food retailers, organizations sponsoring food drives and citizens who fill our food barrels—are brought into our main warehouses in Paso Robles and Oceano. The food is carefully sorted, safely stored and distributed to more than 140 nonprofit agencies and distribution sites from Nipomo to San Miguel.

Together We Make A Difference!

The many giving hearts and hands of residents and business people in San Luis Obispo County have made a tremendous difference in defeating hunger in our communities. We had another very successful year in 2007, collecting and distributing more than 3.7 million pounds of food to 156 agencies and more than 30,000 individuals in our area.

The Food Bank Coalition operates a state of the art facility in Paso Robles. The location provides 15,000 square feet of food storage and space for programs designed to serve the hungry of San Luis Obispo County. We also have a 6,000 square foot warehouse in Oceano.
