Our corporate supporters facilitate our mission to alleviate hunger in San Luis Obispo County. We value their generosity through financial contributions and their year round support of the work we do in the community. We would like to thank and recognize these partnerships below.

Radio has always been a part of my life. My family has been in broadcasting for three generations and owned and operated radio stations for the past 49 years. At an early age I wanted to be part of our family tradition and like many successful privately owned businesses with a family member that wants to become involved I started where every employee new to the business would start, in an entry level position. My first job ensured that we remained on-air Tuesday – Sunday from 1a-9a, lots of coffee kept everything running smoothly, well almost but that’s for another time. Thirty years later I’m proud to own and operate five radio stations here in San Luis Obispo.

As a native Californian I’ve been blessed and I count myself as fortunate to be the next generation in this highly personal and evolving industry. I’m even more fortunate considering four generations ago my family on both sides emigrated to America under very different circumstances. As a young boy my grandfather was orphaned and living on the streets of Providence, RI until he was finally picked up and put into an orphanage. Ultimately as an adult he did well for his family but if not for the support and kindness of others our family’s story could have turned out quite differently.

Understanding my family’s history as an adult I truly value the American dream and how we all can make a difference. As my family has done for generations it is extremely important that we give back and support those who are less fortunate. I’m proud of the United States of America, and my wife became a citizen in 2010, I hope many others will be able to know the same pride and success that we’ve realized in this great country. The work the San Luis Obispo Food Bank does without judgement and empowering families is why Dimes Media proudly supports the work they do to make our community better every day.
