Every day, thousands of residents in San Luis Obispo County struggle to meet their basic nutritional needs. You can bring immediate relief and hope to a family or individual who is suffering from hunger. The Food Bank Coalition has many options for giving to the meet the interests of our community supporters.

The Food Bank Coalition invests your donations effectively and efficiently: 94% of your donation goes towards getting food to the hungry residents of our community. The Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your gift is tax deductible and you’ll receive a tax receipt for your contribution.

When families and organizations contribute fresh and non-perishable food, it puts more variety on our shelves and in our freezers. All items are appreciated but low sodium, low sugar, and whole grains contribute to better health.

Volunteers are essential at all levels of the Food Bank’s operations from working in the warehouse assembling food bags to staffing at public awareness and fundraising events. Hunger Walk »

Hunger Walk is an opportunity to make a difference in our community by raising funds so that the Food Bank Coalition can continue to provide food to those in need throughout San Luis Obispo County. This is a family fun event, come take in the beautiful views of Morro Bay as you walk along the embarcadero and enjoy music and refreshments at the finish line.
