During the month of November, SLO Provisions will be featuring an art show with cartoons and collage about food by Kit Gould and Ed Himelblau. Prints, cards, and originals will be for sale. Half of all art sales will be donated to the SLO Food Bank. The Art Opening on Friday, November 5, from 5 to 8pm, will kick off the event. On the first Saturday of every month, Earthscapes, a local full-service landscape, design, installation and maintenance company, will be holding a plant sale at their Los Osos location on 2081 11th Street. 20% of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to the SLO Food Bank. Sign up for our 2021 Turkey Trot now! This year, you can choose to participate virtually or in-person. We are continuing the tradition of our in-person trot while also offering the option for the virtual experience from last year. The in-person event will feature a 2-mile walk along the Bob Jones trail in Avila Beach. Thank you to First Presbyterian Church in SLO for hosting a fundraiser benefitting the SLO Food Bank. The Christmas Jazz Vespers Concert starts at 7pm on Sunday, December 22, and will feature the Marshall Otwell Quartet with special guest Inga Swearingen. Suggested donation is $20. We are the beneficiary of SLOMotion’s final community screening of the year: a holiday screening of the iconic Patagonia & Sweetgrass Productions ski journey film, Valhalla, on Wednesday, December 22, from 7:00pm – 9:10pm.
